Venky Atluri

Atluri Venkateswara Rao (born April 6, 1984), known professionally as Venky Atluri, is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works predominantly in Telugu and Tamil cinema. He began his film career as an actor and dialogue writer with *Gnapakam* (2007) and *Sneha Geetham* (2010), before making his feature directorial debut with the romantic drama *Tholi Prema* (2018), which he also wrote. Atluri subsequently wrote and directed the romantic dramas *Mr. Majnu* (2019) and *Rang De* (2021). In 2023, he made his debut in Tamil cinema with the period action drama *Vaathi* (shot simultaneously in Telugu as *Sir*). He then wrote and directed the period financial thriller *Lucky Baskhar* (2024), followed by *Vishwanath & Sons* (2026).
